Home remodeling – paint it easy
There is no saying that you have to spend tens thousands of dollars on home remodeling project. Of course, some lifestyle blogs try to convince you otherwise, claiming that only thorough makeover from the basement to the roof counts. Fortunately, there are plenty of simple measures that will allow you to achieve amazing results without filing for bankruptcy.
One of the easiest and most budget friendly solutions is painting. That’s right – painting. Just chose desired product, appropriate for given surface and in a matter of hours, you can completely change the look and feel of your home. Most obvious target of such intervention is of course walls and ceilings in rooms and corridors but you don’t have to be obvious. Contemporary paints can be applied to host of surfaces, starting with aforementioned walls, through floors, most of furniture, accessories and even bathroom tiles.
DIY home remodeling ideas
Brush and can of paint are very powerful remodeling tools. You not only change place’s character but with apt choice of color and pattern, you can optically enlarge, lengthen or widen each and every interior. If plain surfaces aren’t satisfying for your esthetic sense or don’t fit your desired interior design, then consider adding some stenciled patterns. If you are a fan of elaborate, organic décor but you’re not much of an artist yourself then decoupage might prove a viable option. People often consider that technic suitable only for accessories and other small objects. However, it’s also very charming addition to furniture and such.
Another budget friendly, home remodeling option is hardwood floor refinishing. Solid or engineered, they can be quickly restored to their original shape by careful sanding and application of new layer of finish. Last but not least, upcycling. Old, battered elements can be made into something completely new and original (e.g. driftwood changed into coatrack or vintage cupboard – into sink stand).
